MAMBERAMO RAYA — The Papua Provincial Government has delivered logistical aid to residents in Kampung Teba as part of the broader aid distribution program for Mamberamo Raya Regency. Kampung Teba is the first point of distribution in the area. (May 9).
A total of 48 aid packages were delivered to the village, consisting of rice, basic food supplies, and health kits to support the operations of the local auxiliary health center. The aid is expected to ease the burden of communities affected by flooding in Mamberamo Raya and surrounding areas.
The aid delivery was led by the team coordinator, Acting Head of the Papua Provincial Social Affairs and Civil Registry Office, Djong Makanuay. On the occasion, Djong conveyed a message from the Acting Governor of Papua, encouraging residents to remain strong and patient during these challenging times.
"The Acting Governor of Papua emphasized that this aid is concrete proof of the government’s presence, empathy toward the people's suffering, and continued efforts to find long-term solutions to the problems being faced," he stated.
Aid distribution will continue to other villages in Mamberamo Raya over the coming days. ***
