JAYAPURA – Acting Governor of Papua, Ramses Limbong, called on Christians to genuinely live out their faith in everyday life. This appeal was made during the Pentecost II Celebration of Area A, held at the State Building on Monday (June 9, 2025).
He emphasized the importance of faithfulness and obedience among Christians when facing the challenges of the times. According to him, faith should not merely be a status on official documents or something practiced only through routine worship.
"Are we just Christians on our ID cards? Is our worship merely ceremonial? Today, we are present because of God’s calling, not just out of routine or religious obligation," he said.
He reminded Christians to remain steadfast in their faith, even when faced with comfort or life’s pressures.
“If we truly believe, then no matter the risk, we must remain obedient to God’s teachings,” he added.
He also stressed that each person must diligently carry out their responsibilities without expecting instant results.
“Do your part faithfully, and let God take care of the rest,” Ramses stated.
Ramses further explained that Papua’s transformation requires a new mindset from all stakeholders. A change in perspective is essential to create prosperity that reaches all layers of society.
“Papua’s development must begin from the heart. A clean heart will give birth to right thoughts, words, and actions,” he concluded. ***
