JAYAPURA – The Papua Provincial Government, through the Department of Manpower, Cooperatives, and Small and Medium Enterprises, recorded over a thousand job seekers registering at the Job Fair.

The Job Fair took place over two days (June 18–19) at PTC Entrop, South Jayapura District, Jayapura City.

Acting Head of the Papua Department of Manpower, Cooperatives, and UKM, Anwar Rumbouw, stated that among the available job openings, the hospitality sector drew the most interest.

"The most sought-after positions were in the hospitality sector, followed by Alfamidi and Maju Makmur," he said.

He explained that this number was based on those who registered manually or directly at the event. Meanwhile, online registrations have not yet been fully counted due to the need for data consolidation.

He added that similar events will continue to be held in the future as part of efforts to reduce unemployment in Papua.

"In the future, we will organize similar events, and on a larger scale," Anwar said. ***
