JAYAPURA – To enhance accountable and transparent financial management, the Papua Provincial Government has organized a technical training on the SIPD-RI system, which was officially opened by the Assistant for Government Affairs of the Regional Secretary, representing the Acting Governor of Papua, on June 23.
In his opening remarks, Yohanes Walilo emphasized that utilizing SIPD (Regional Development Information System) is a strategic step in regional financial governance. “SIPD is very important because it can produce fast and accurate financial data, and serves as a key instrument in creating transparency and accountability in regional financial management,” said Walilo.
He also urged all participants to fully engage and actively take part in the training. “Make the most of this opportunity to understand the technical aspects of SIPD management. Don’t hesitate to ask the resource persons directly so that implementation in each government unit can run optimally,” he added.
On the same occasion, the Papua Provincial Government expressed its appreciation to Bank Papua for its ongoing support in implementing regional financial governance through integration with SIPD. This collaboration is deemed crucial for realizing a modern and accountable regional financial system.
The training was organized by the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) of Papua Province and was attended by Commitment-Making Officials (PPTK), Expenditure Treasurers (PPK), Program Subdivision Heads, Finance Subdivision Heads, and Treasurers from each Regional Government Work Unit in the Papua Provincial Government. The training featured speakers from the Data and Information Center of the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. ***
