JAYAPURA – Acting Governor of Papua, Ramses Limbong, attended the 79th Bhayangkara Day celebration held at the Papua Regional Police Headquarters yard in Koya Koso, Muara Tami District, Jayapura City, on Tuesday (July 1, 2025).
Ramses Limbong expressed his appreciation and wishes to all members of the Bhayangkara Corps. He also participated by singing a song at the event.
He emphasized the important role of the Indonesian National Police in maintaining security and public order in Papua, especially ahead of the upcoming Papua Gubernatorial Revote scheduled for August.
“The performance so far has been good, but there is still room for improvement. The Papuan people are becoming increasingly critical, so the police must keep improving their public service and protection, in line with the values of the Tribrata,” said Governor Ramses.
Following this year’s Bhayangkara Day theme, “Indonesian National Police for the People,” the police must always be there for the community.
“Indonesian National Police must be there for the people and work with heart to create a peaceful and prosperous Papua,” he added.
The Governor also thanked the collaboration between the Papua Provincial Government, the Indonesian National Armed Forces, and the Police, which he sees as a key factor in achieving lasting public security and order. ***
