JAKARTA – The Chairwoman of the Family Welfare Empowerment Movement Team, Tri Tito Karnavian, officially inaugurated Tyas A. Fatoni as the Acting Chair of the Papua Provincial Family Welfare Empowerment Movement Team. The inauguration took place at the Sasana Bhakti Praja Hall, Ministry of Home Affairs, Jakarta, on Monday, July 14, 2025.
This inauguration was based on the Decree of the Chairperson of the Family Welfare Empowerment Movement Team Number 009/KEP/PKK.PST/VII/2025 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of the Acting Chairperson of the Papua Province Family Welfare Empowerment Movement Team, dated July 3, 2024.
“As the Chairwoman of the Family Welfare Empowerment Movement Team, I hereby officially appoint Mrs. Tyas A. Fatoni as Acting Chair of the Papua Provincial Family Welfare Empowerment Movement Team for a term corresponding to the tenure of the Acting Governor of Papua,” said Tri.
“I believe that you, as Acting Chair, will carry out your duties and responsibilities with utmost dedication and integrity, in line with the trust given to enhance the role of the Family Welfare Empowerment Movement Team in promoting family empowerment and welfare,” she continued.
On the same occasion, Tyas A. Fatoni was also inaugurated as Acting Chair of the Papua Provincial Integrated Health Post Board based on Decree Number 007/KEP/POSYANDU.PST/VII/2025 dated July 11, 2025.
In her speech, Tri expressed confidence that Tyas would fulfill her duties well, citing her extensive experience having served four times as Acting Chair of the Family Welfare Empowerment Movement Team in other regions.
“I’m sure you have extraordinary experience because you’ve served in various well-known regions without conflict. However, Papua may bring new challenges for you. But I believe, with your experience and guidance from the Provincial Advisor, God willing, you will be able to carry out the duties well,” said Tri.
Additionally, Tri encouraged the Acting Chair of the Family Welfare Empowerment Movement Team, who also serves as Acting Chair of the Integrated Health Service Post Board, to expand the scope of the Integrated Health Post beyond just health services. She highlighted the importance of including services in education, public works, public housing, public order, community protection, and social welfare.
“Through these six Minimum Service Standards, there should be more innovative and creative activities that directly support local development, especially in areas like sanitation, which is essential for community health,” Tri explained.
On the same occasion, the Minister of Home Affairs, Muhammad Tito Karnavian, also extended his congratulations to the Acting Chairperson of the Papua Province Family Welfare Empowerment Team, Tyas A. Fatoni, who had just been inaugurated. He also expressed his gratitude to the Acting Governor of Papua for the 2024–2025 period, Ramses Limbong, and to the Acting Chairperson of the Papua Province Family Welfare Empowerment Movement Team 2024–2025 period, Kardina Limbong.
“Congratulations to the newly appointed officials. I also sincerely thank the outgoing officials. Let’s all support the new leaders in fulfilling their duties. Best wishes to Mr. Fatoni and Mrs. Fatoni as they carry out this national assignment,” said the Minister.
The event was also attended by the Minister of Home Affairs, Muhammad Tito Karnavian, the Acting Governor of Papua, Agus Fatoni, the Acting Governor of Papua for the 2024–2025 period, Ramses Limbong, the Acting Chairperson of the Papua Province Family Welfare Empowerment Movement Team for the 2024–2025 period, Kardina Limbong, and other officials. ***
