BIAK – Acting Governor of Papua, Agus Fatoni, together with Acting Chairperson of the Family Welfare and Empowerment Movement Team, Tyas A. Fatoni, visited Curahan Kasih Orphanage to deliver aid packages. The event took place at the orphanage in Biak City, Biak Numfor Regency, Papua, on Saturday (August 2, 2025).
“This afternoon, we came to distribute assistance to Curahan Kasih Orphanage. The aid includes various items from Family Welfare and Empowerment and Dharma Wanita, which we hope will help the children stay healthy and thrive,” said Fatoni.
The assistance comprised children’s bathing supplies, stationery, children’s books, vitamin A supplements for children, iron tablets for teenage girls, milk, and healthy snacks. Additionally, basic food packages, mattresses, and mosquito nets were provided to enhance the comfort of the children residing at the orphanage.
Fatoni also encouraged the children to remain motivated about their futures, emphasizing that success is attainable for everyone—not just city residents or the wealthy.
“Success belongs to everyone. The key is to study diligently, maintain discipline, and uphold honesty,” he said.
“May all the children succeed. Pray to God, who determines everything, and remember that doing good is paramount. I hope everyone stays healthy. God bless us all,” he added.
Currently, Curahan Kasih Orphanage houses 36 children, ranging from infants to teenagers. One of the orphanage administrators expressed deep gratitude for the visit and assistance provided by Acting Governor Agus Fatoni, Acting Chairperson Tyas A. Fatoni, and their delegation.
“We can only pray that the Owner of Life rewards all the kindness shown to us,” she said. ***
