JAYAPURA – The Papua Provincial Government has reaffirmed its commitment to using the 2025 Integrity Assessment Survey, conducted by the Corruption Eradication Commission, as a key reference for strengthening governance and enhancing the quality of public services.
Acting Assistant III of the Papua Regional Secretariat, Triwarno Purnomo, stated that the Integrity Assessment Survey is a crucial instrument for objectively evaluating the integrity of public institutions. He emphasized that the survey results will serve as a foundation for designing future policy reforms.
“The ultimate goal is to improve the quality of public services and governance. Therefore, the Integrity Assessment Survey results must become our foundation in formulating policies,” Triwarno said in Jayapura.
He also encouraged all State Civil Apparatus in the Papua Provincial Government to fully support the survey by completing it honestly and objectively. According to him, this is crucial to ensure the results accurately reflect conditions on the ground.
Meanwhile, a member of the Integrity Assessment Survey Team of the Corruption Eradication Commission, JB Priyono, highlighted that the survey results from Papua will also contribute to the National Integrity Index. He pointed out several vulnerable areas that require improvement, particularly in goods and services procurement and human resource management.
“The hope is simple—areas marked red can improve to yellow, and those in yellow can progress to green. This is not just an expectation but a concrete step forward,” Priyono explained.
The KPK urged local governments to use the survey results as a basis for strengthening standard operating procedures and internal control systems. The dissemination of SPI 2025 also serves as a reminder for the Papua Provincial Government to remain consistent in upholding integrity in public services.
“This survey serves as a mirror reflecting our current position. From there, the government can determine the next steps for improvement,” Priyono added.
By adopting the 2025 Integrity Assessment Survey as a guideline, the Papua Provincial Government commits to building a bureaucracy that is more transparent, accountable, and responsive to the needs of society. ***
