JAYAPURA – The Papua Provincial Government convened the Papua Province Data Forum 2025 to strengthen the governance of One Data Indonesia at the regional level. The event was opened on Thursday (September 18, 2025) by MB Setyo Wahyudi, Assistant for Economy and People’s Welfare of the Papua Provincial Secretariat, on behalf of the Acting Governor of Papua.
In his written remarks, the Acting Governor stressed that data is the foundation of policy-making. With accurate, up-to-date, and accountable data, development programs in Papua can be more targeted, transparent, and sustainable.
The forum brought together all provincial agencies and selected district/city agencies serving as Regional Sectoral Data Stewards (DSSD). A key highlight was the signing of the Minutes of Agreement on Strategic Regional Sectoral Data Planning.
Head of the Papua Provincial Office of Communication and Information, Jeri Agus Yudianto, as Data Custodian (Walidata), reported notable progress in data management: 4,371 data lists planned; 4,728 data items utilized; 1,217 entries completed; 1,128 validated by Walidata; and 1,115 validated by Statistics Indonesia of Papua.
