JAKARTA – Acting Governor of Papua, Agus Fatoni, once again received a gold pin award from the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. The award was presented directly by the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia, Dudy Purwagandhi, during the 70th Bhayangkara Traffic Day at Mutiara STIK-PTIK, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Monday (September 22, 2025).
This marks the second time Fatoni has received such an honor. The gold pin was awarded in recognition of his dedication, active role, and innovations in the field of vehicle administration as the National Samsat Supervisor in 2024.
Fatoni reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening synergy with the Indonesian National Police, particularly in his capacity as Acting Governor of Papua, to ensure smooth development that ultimately improves public welfare.
As Acting Governor of Papua, Fatoni also expressed hope that cooperation between the police, the government, regional leadership coordination forums, and other stakeholders will continue to be well-maintained.
“Thank you for this award. I, and of course all of us, hope and pray that the National Police, especially the Papua Regional Police, will continue to protect the people and provide maximum service to the community,” said Fatoni.
It is worth noting that Fatoni had previously received a gold pin, a gold sword, and a certificate from National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo when he served as Acting Governor of South Sumatra from October 2023 to June 2024.
The awards were given in recognition of his dedication and active role during his tenure as Acting Governor of South Sumatra in supporting the duties of the South Sumatra Regional Police in maintaining public security and order, as well as providing grant assistance for the 2024 local elections in South Sumatra Province. ***
