JAYAPURA – The Papua Provincial Government has expressed its appreciation for Telkom Indonesia’s initiative in launching its newest data center, neuCentrIX Jayapura. The facility was officially inaugurated on Thursday, December 4, 2025, in Jayapura City, marking Telkom’s first data center in Papua.
Acting Assistant for General Administration of the Papua Regional Secretariat, Suzana D. Wanggai, stated that the establishment of neuCentrIX Jayapura is a major step in strengthening the foundation of digital transformation in Papua.
Suzana noted that the infrastructure guarantees faster data access, lower latency, and more stable service availability—key prerequisites for Papua’s development in the digital era.
“For the Papua Provincial Government, this data center holds strategic importance. It aligns with the missions of a Healthy Papua, Smart Papua, and Productive Papua, all of which require modern technology to ensure fast, accurate, and sustainable services,” she said.
She explained that in the health sector, neuCentrIX will support hospital data management, referral systems, and the digitalization of medical services to make them more responsive and accurate. In the education sector, the data center will strengthen digital learning ecosystems, research initiatives, and campus collaboration in a more integrated manner.
For businesses and MSMEs, the facility will drive digital economic growth, create space for local startup innovation, and open new opportunities for market expansion in Papua.
“The presence of neuCentrIX Jayapura also symbolizes that Papua now stands on equal footing within the national digital transformation landscape,” she added.
Suzana emphasized that the inauguration marks the beginning of a new journey toward a more connected, smarter, and more productive Papua.
She also invited all stakeholders to utilize the facility as a space for collaboration, an innovation hub, and a means of accelerating public service transformation for the welfare of the Papuan people. ***
