JAYAPURA — Papua Governor Matius D. Fakhiri received an audience with Glorya Stevany Yame Nayoan, a finalist in Puteri Indonesia 2026 representing Papua Province, in Jayapura on Wednesday (February 18, 2026). The meeting was also attended by some relevant regional government agencies, as the responsible institutions.
During the meeting, the Governor of Papua expressed his full support for Glorya Stevany Yame Nayoan, who will compete in the prestigious national-level pageant. According to him, the participation of Papua's young generation in the Puteri Indonesia competition not only brings honor to the region but also serves as an inspiration and motivation for Papuan youth to continue achieving excellence in various fields.
"The Papua Provincial Government gives its full support so that Papua's representative can perform optimally and make the region proud at the national level," the Governor emphasized. He also instructed the relevant regional agencies to provide support in accordance with their respective duties and functions to ensure the smooth preparation process and selection stages that she will go through.
Meanwhile, Glorya Stevany Yame Nayoan expressed her appreciation and gratitude for the willingness of the Governor of Papua and the related agencies to receive her and provide support. She hopes that support from the government and all the people of Papua will continue throughout the next nomination process.
It is known that, out of 45 finalists from across Indonesia, the participants will go through a number of selection stages leading up to the grand final night of Puteri Indonesia 2026. Glorya is optimistic that she can give her best performance and bring pride to Papua on the national stage. ***
