JAYAPURA — The Papua Provincial Government is exploring opportunities for cooperation with a Dutch delegation conducting a business and partnership mission in Papua. The discussions covered matters ranging from Papua's natural potential to educational cooperation.
Papua Vice Governor Aryoko Rumaropen said the cooperation is expected to support regional development through the use of local potential.
"The potential that exists in Papua is expected to be developed to help improve the welfare of the community," the Vice Governor said while receiving the delegation led by Alfred van der Klis on Thursday (June 16).
The Governor hopes that from this meeting, support can be provided to the Papua Provincial Government, especially in empowering communities through local potentials.
He also expressed hope that the Dutch delegation could assist, both in funding and facilities, to help prepare vocational schools.
"These schools are intended to prepare a productive workforce that can be directly employed by companies that have already been prepared," he concluded. ***
