JAYAPURA — The Papua Provincial Government has begun implementing specialist doctor education in the region through an anesthesiology program at RSUD Jayapura. The program has opened registration and is now in the selection stage.
Acting Director of RSUD Jayapura, Andreas Pekey, said that so far seven doctors have registered and are taking part in the selection process.
"So far, seven people have registered, and they will go through administrative, academic, TOEFL, and interview selection," he said.
According to him, from that process, around five participants will be selected for one semester. The program will be carried out gradually, with admissions every semester.
"Most likely, five people will be accepted for this semester," he said.
This specialist education program marks an initial step in preparing specialist doctors in Papua without requiring them to leave the region. ***
