JAYAPURA – Papua Deputy Governor Aryoko Rumaropen, accompanied by heads of regional government agencies, directly received and listened to complaints from residents of Organda Housing Complex, Hedam Subdistrict, Jayapura City, regarding flooding, street lighting, road access, and public order and security issues. During the dialogue with residents, various complaints were openly conveyed as an expression of hope that the government could immediately provide solutions to the problems faced by the community.
The Papua Deputy Governor emphasized that every public aspiration would receive serious attention from the regional government.
"Every complaint from the Organda community will receive the Regional Government's attention. Regarding infrastructure and flood control, we will break them down and follow up on them according to our authority together with the Jayapura City Government. As for security disturbances, we will convey them to the Papua Regional Police so they can give greater attention, particularly in the Heram Police Sector area," the Deputy Governor said.
One Organda resident, Eva Furay, expressed her concerns about flooding, inadequate road access, and street lighting that has not yet been optimized. She hoped that the Deputy Governor's presence in her area would help bring immediate attention to these issues.
"We hope that with the Deputy Governor's presence here in Organda, our neighborhood conditions can receive more attention, especially regarding flooding, roads, and streetlights," she said.
Similarly, the Head of Community Unit 4, Hedam Subdistrict, Heram District, M. Kareth, also raised concerns about security conditions in the Organda area, which he said have required greater attention from security personnel in recent times.
Through this activity, the Papua Provincial Government demonstrated its commitment to being directly present among the community, listening to residents' concerns, and building synergy with regency/city governments and security forces to create a safe, comfortable, and liveable environment for the community. ***
