JAYAPURA – The Papua Manpower Office has begun preparing the dissemination of the Ready-to-Work Card program to help the community access information related to training, internships, and job vacancies.
Head of the Manpower Division of the Papua Manpower Office, Fransiska Rerey, said the program is one of the government's efforts to help job seekers improve their readiness to enter the workforce.
"The Ready-to-Work Card provides information related to training, internships, and job vacancies," she said on the sidelines of the Papua Job Fair 2026 on Tuesday (May 12, 2026).
According to her, today's job market requires workers who have abilities and skills that match company needs.
Therefore, job seekers are encouraged to actively participate in available training and skills courses, including free training programs.
"At the very least, they should have competencies and skills that can be used when applying for jobs," she said.
She added that public interest in the Papua Job Fair 2026 had increased compared to the previous year.
In addition, the Papua Manpower Office also asked every company participating in the job fair to record the number of applicants who registered as evaluation material for the implementation of future activities.
