Daily Chairman of the Papua Province Covid-19 Task Force, Welliam R Manderi asked each Regency/City Government to prepare rapid antigens as one of the requirement for Covid-19 vaccination recipients.
"Surely for those who are negative in rapid antigen test results".
"But we also do not stay silent in the province and the plan will be the procurement of rapid antigens. Where now we only have 10 thousand rapid antigen test. We will try to convey to the center so that we can help," said Manderi.
While distributing the number of vaccines to districts and cities, Manderi made sure it was still under discussion.
However, the areas with the highest number of Covid-19 confirmed cases are most likely to get more rations.
"14,680 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine currently available in Papua. Later, the distribution schedule to the region will be determined based on the results of discussions with the team that has been formed".
"Maybe the discussion also to determine the amount of Covid-19 vaccine that will be distributed to the District / City. It is possible that the areas that received more are areas that have many confirmed cases of Covid-19, such as Jayapura City, Wamena, Merauke, Biak and others," Manderi concluded.
Previously, the Papua Provincial Government determined that in the middle of this month, on January 15, 2021, the implementation of COVID-19 vaccination will begin immediately.
For the initial stage it is estimated that about 10 volunteers will be vaccinated first.
The decision is as the result of the Coordination Meeting on the readiness of the covid-19 vaccination launch held by the Papua Province Covid-19 Task Force in Jayapura City, Friday (1/8/2020).
