JAYAPURA - Media Center of National Paralympic Week XVI Papua officially operates today, Tuesday (2/11/2021).

The Media Center of National Paralympic Week located in Hotel Swissbell, Jayapura City, will operate from 2 to 15 November 2021.

The operation of the media center on the first day was directly monitored by the Director General of Information and Public Communication, Usman Kansong, Deputy V of the Presidential Staff Office, Jaleswari Pramodawardhani, Deputy for Achievement of NPCI, Slamet Widodo, Vice Chairman II of National Paralympic Week Committee, Hans Hamadi and Deputy Mayor of Jayapura, Rustam Saru.

Director General of Information and Public Communication, Usman Kansong in a statement to the press after a media center review expressed the readiness of his institution to support the implementation of National Paralympic Week XVI Papua, one of the forms by preparing the National Paralympic Week Media Center by the Ministry of Communications and Informatics to facilitate the coverage of all matches for media crews.

While Deputy V of the Presidential Staff Office, Jaleswari hopes through the facilitation of the media center by Communications and Informatics of Republic of Indonesia, it is expected to be able to produce the best information from the largest sporting event in the Pacific region.

Similarly, vice chairman of National Paralympic Week XVI Committee of Papua, Hans Hamadi. He also hopes that the presence of the Media Center will further accelerate the number of information to the public.

"So that the public can know things related to the implementation of National Paralympic Week quickly," he said.

It is known, the National Paralympic Week XVI match will be held from 2 to 15 November 2021.

The implementation of National Paralympic Week XVI was held in two clusters, namely Jayapura City and Jayapura Regency with 1,985 athletes.

There are a total of 12 sports to be contested including weight lifting, athletics, boccia, badminton, chess, judo, shooting, archery, swimming, CP football, wheelchair court tennis, and table tennis. ***
