JAYAPURA - Preparations for the implementation of the National Paralympic Week XVI Papua are confirmed to be 100 percent.
Thus, the national sports event for people with disabilities held every four years is ready to be rolled out from November 2-15, 2021, just waiting to be officially opened.
Vice Chairman II of the National Paralympic Week XVI Papua Grand Committee, Hans Hamadi even ensured that the entire administration was one hundred percent, now just waiting for the implementation.
"In terms of equipment, optimal installation has been made at the venue. Then from the accommodation sector, it has been confirmed the availability of 38 hotels and 2 guesthouses, as recommended by the National Paralympic Committee of Indonesia (NPCI) as the main sport of people with disabilities"
"Even each of these facilities is ensured to have infrastructure standards that facilitate the mobilization of athletes to participate in competitions," Hans said in Jayapura on Tuesday.
While related to transportation, the National Paralympic Committee of Papua has prepared as many as 69 buses that have been modified to meet comfort standards for athletes who will compete.
"Then there are 400 more buses as well, which have been provided to transport officials and supporters of this activity," he said.
Finally, for consumption, he added, the National Paralympic Committee has anticipated food and beverage needs for a contingent estimated at 3,600 people from all corners of the country and volunteers from each related region.
"We have also asked the consumption sector to be more aware and prepare things related to eating and drinking services," he added.
The National Paralympic Committee of Papua has previously recruited approximately 1,500 volunteers from Jayapura City and Regency. All recruited volunteers have a background in co-working experience with and/or who have a sibling with a disability. The existence of this requirement, of course, will be easier to serve the needs of athletes. ***
