JAYAPURA - Jayapura State Finance Building (GKN) located on Diponegoro Gurahbesi Street, North Jayapura, Jayapura City officially operated on Friday (11/26/2021), after being inaugurated by the Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani.
The 10-story building, built for three years with a total fund of IDR244 billion, stands firmly with a modern design based on the new way of working and demonstrating typical of Papua.
Minister Sri Mulyani in her speech said the new building will be the center of the implementation of state financial operations in Papua.
While the existence is expected to provide strong support for local governments, in the implementation of development, both in Papua and West Papua provinces.
"We hope that GKN Jayapura will be a strong capital for the Ministry of Finance to then provide support to the district and city and provincial governments even to the villages. Including ministries of institutions that also spend their budget in Papua," said Sri Mulyani.
She added, the existence of GKN Jayapura which will be a place or central container for vertical units of the Ministry of Finance in order to provide services that are increasingly integrated in the financial field.
"With the Jayapura GKN, the Ministry of Finance can certainly provide maximum service, especially to the economy. So that we can see the development and improvement of community welfare can run quickly," he said.
Papua Regional Secretary Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun said, GKN Jayapura is now one of the pride buildings of the Papuan people. Even so, he hopes that the presence of GKN Jayapura will further improve the coordination between vertical agencies of the Ministry of Finance and local governments.
"All ranks of the Papua Provincial Government are ready to coordinate and cooperate with the Ministry of Finance to provide the best service in an effort to improve the sustainability of the Papuan people," Ridwan said.
On that occasion, Ridwan continued, the Papua Provincial Government also expressed gratitude for the great attention of the central government to the Papuan people with efforts to accelerate development in Papua.
There is an increase in the portion of the allocation of Papua Special Autonomy funds, which certainly provides great benefits to the improvement of various development sectors, education, health and infrastructure. ***
