Head of Bappenda Papua, MB Setiyo Wahyudi said the satisfactory achievement could not be separated from the high level of awareness of taxpayers fulfilling their obligations, in addition to the hard work of staff who are active in the field of socialization.
"Of course, the achievement of Regional Original Revenue 2021 is the hard work of all of us and of course taxpayers who are more aware of obligations. In 2022 we hope that we can return to achieve the best results by a measurable target," he explained in Jayapura on Thursday.
However, he did not deny the achievement of Regional Original Revenue 2021 which exceeded the target of 106.90 percent was also due to the largest donation from Freeport Indonesia Company.
"Freeport's surface water tax arrears to the Papua Provincial Government amount to IDR1.4 trillion with two stages of payment".
"The first phase was paid in 2019 and 2021. Well, the management of Freeport Indonesia has realized the second phase of water tax arrears amounting to IDR685 billion," he said.
On that occasion, Setiyo added that he would pick up the payment of the remaining surface water tax of Freeport Indonesia Company in 2022 amounting to IDR200 billion more.
