JAYAPURA - Head of the Communication and Informatics Department of Papua, Jeri A. Yudianto confirmed that the inauguration of the new building of the Papua Governor Office will be scheduled for December 2022.
This was conveyed by Jeri, when met by the press in Jayapura, Tuesday (20/9/2022) evening.
He ensured that there was no delay in the process of building the new governor's office. Because PT. PP as a third party, is a trusted partner who has built many buildings in Jayapura City, including a number of PON 2021 venues.
"Basically, the construction process of the governor's office and the inauguration schedule is still on the track. The construction is still running smoothly and no obstacles".
"So that in December, we are optimistic that the new building (governor's office)can be inaugurated, with a period of three months left for work time," said Jeri.
In addition to the new Papua Governor's Office, other buildings that will be inaugurated simultaneously in December, added Jeri, namely the General Election Commission (KPU), the Office of the Bureau of Goods and Services Provision (BPPBJ) and the Papuan People's Assembly (MRP).
Previously, the Assistant for Economic Affairs and Welfare of the Papua Provincial Regional Office, Muhammad Musa'ad, said the governor's office building would become an icon for Jayapura City. In addition, the governor's office will be a pilot project for other regions in Indonesia.
"The Papua Governor's Office building seems to have only one building model in Indonesia. This means that there are not many buildings like this in Indonesia. So that I am sure, the building will be an example for other provinces in eastern of Indonesia," he said.
It is known that the construction process of the governor's office building which has just been carried out in a multiyear (project) with funds of IDR 400 billion sourced from the Papua Provincial Budget. ***
