JAYAPURA - Good news for the residents of Papua, the venue of the Kampung Harapan Area of Jayapura Regency and the Cenderawasih Sport Center of Jayapura City, will be opened to the public on October 1, 2022.
This is as conveyed by the Acting Head of the Sports and Youth Service, Alexander Kapisa, in Jayapura, Monday (26/9/2022).
The opening of the Kampung Harapan area and the Cendrawasih Sport Center, according to Kapisa, is intended so that the community can take advantage of the facilities of the former PON and Peparnas, for the purposes of having a prayer and relaxing, both with family, friends and the specified community.
"We want these existing venues to still be used by athletes but also by the general public. Both for sports purposes and other related matters," he explained.
Meanwhile, regarding the entrance tariff for the Kampung Harapan Area Venue and Cendrawasih Sport Center, he continued, the provincial government plans to set a flat rate for two-wheeled vehicles of IDR 5,000 and four-wheeled vehicles of IDR 10,000 for one entry.
The entrance tariff will later be used to help the cost of maintaining the Kampung Harapan area and Cenderawasih Sport Center.
"The maintenance cost of the Kampung Harapan Area Venue alone requires a budget of IDR 23 billion. So, by setting entry rates for two- and four-wheelers, it will at least contribute to the maintenance of this area," he said. ***
