JAYAPURA - Head of the Papua Provincial Health Office Robby Kayame asked the residents in Papua to continue to implement health protocols and complete the third vaccination injection, even though the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) has been lifted by President Joko Widodo on December 30, 2022.
This was conveyed by Robby Kayame, in a statement to the press in Jayapura, Friday (6/1/2023).
"In essence, we ask that there is awareness in each of them to continue to wear masks, keep your distance and complete vaccinations. The goal is for the health of all of us," he said.
He reminded, related to the experience of the COVID-19 pandemic, that there were restrictions in all aspects of life.
That way, he hopes that it will not happen again. Because even though there is a revocation of PPKM, it doesn’t mean that the COVID-19 virus has disappeared.
"This virus still exists, so keep your health and stay socialized, masks are also mandatory to be prepared everywhere, but back to the residents whether they want to wear masks or not," he said.
Meanwhile, regarding the implementation of vaccination, continued Robby, after the revocation of PPKM, the service is now handled by the local public health center.
Thus, residents can visit the nearest public health center to get vaccination services.
"Vaccination is now no longer carried out by the Papua Health Office. It has been transferred to public health centers in their respective regions. So that residents no longer come to the Papua Health Office because there are no services anymore," he said. ***
