JAYAPURA - Three years after the Covid-19 pandemic broke out in Indonesia and even the world, the Australian Embassy made a working visit to Jayapura, Papua Province.
The visit by neighboring officials, through Australian Deputy Ambassador to Indonesia Steve Scott in Jayapura, discussed community services in the fields of Health, Education and Government services, through the organization that will be appointed.
Australian Deputy Ambassador Steve told reporters that the purpose of the visit was to re-strengthen working relationships and improve the programs that have been running so far in various fields in Papua.
"Because in our opinion, strengthening cooperation with the Papuan Government is very important, especially from the geographical side of Australia and Eastern Indonesia is quite close".
"We are also very happy to be back in Papua, of course, Indonesia, which is a very important partner for Australia," he explained.
In the same place, Assistant for General Affairs of the Regional Secretary of Papua Derek Hegemur appreciated the working visit, because both parties have the same vision and mission in development in the fields of education, health, economy and environment.
"So that in the future it will be part of the cooperation that needs to be improved, especially in programs that are based on services to the community," he said.
The visit of Australian Deputy Ambassador to Indonesia Steve Scott, was received by Assistant General Secretary for Papua Regional Secretary Derek Hegemur, who on that occasion was accompanied by Acting Assistant for Economic Affairs and People Welfare, Head of the Communication and Information Service, to the Education Office, National Unity and Politics Agency, Bapenda and related agencies. ***
