JAYAPURA - The Financial Audit Agency (BPK) Representative for Papua submitted a Report on the Assessment Result (LHP) on the effectiveness performance of the Papua National Strategy for Corruption Prevention (Stranas-PK) for 2019 to the first semester of 2022 to the Papua Provincial Government and the Papua House of Representatives.
The Performance Inspection was conveyed as conveyed by the Head of the BPK Representative for Papua DR. Martuana Saragi, who has not been inaugurated for one year.
The handover is also a form of commitment in the prevention and eradication of corruption carried out by the BPK-RI as mandated in Law Number 15 of 2004 concerning the management and responsibility of state finances, to the Government / Local Government and other entities including the Papua Provincial Government.
"In essence, we are ready to follow up on all the recommendations in the LHP submitted, and hope that in the follow-up process, of course, many need support from the BPK to improve the management of Stranas-PK performance in Papua Province," explained Acting Assistant to the Papua Regional Secretary for the Economy and Social Affairs Suzana Wanggai, in Jayapura, Wednesday (25/1/2023).
Suzana also said that after the submission of the LHP, there was a follow-up to the recommendations. So that all Regional Apparatus Organizations in Papua should participate in building effective communication in terms of clarification, verification and completion in order to improve the performance of the Papuan Regional Government in the future.
Meanwhile, the Speaker of the Papuan House of Representatives, Jhony Banua Rouw, expressed his appreciation for the performance of the BPK which continues to perform supervisory functions in the Papua Provincial Government.
His party will also continue monitoring the progress and follow-up on existing recommendations by the Papuan Regional Government. So that the effective performance of Stranas-PK in the future will be more optimal, in order to have an impact on the development and welfare of the people in Papua.
It is known that the LHP handover activity was carried out on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at the BPK Representatives Office in Jayapura.
The handover was attended by the Head of the BPK Representative for Papua, the Speaker of the Papuan House of Representatives, the Governor of Papua represented by the Assistant for Economic and Social Affairs, the Head of the Regional Apparatus Organizations of Papua Provincial Government, as well as local BPK officials/auditors. ***
