JAYAPURA - President Jokowi said the commitment to build the Land of Papua has been realized, which in recent years has been implemented in various sectors and fields.
Starting from the construction of Trans Papua road infrastructure along 3,462 km, border roads along 1,098 km, bridges along 1.3 km, airport construction in some areas around the Papua region, and the construction of brick crossing posts.
This affirmation was conveyed by the Head of State when inaugurating the Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH) in Jayapura City, Tuesday (21/3/2023).
"The government's commitment to prioritizing the development of Papua and the surrounding region from various sectors has been shown," he said.
According to the Head of State, the total budget that has been spent on Papua during his administration was not small. The development is distributed at every level of local government, even reaching IDR1,036 trillion.
Where a massive budget issued by the central government, has been started since 2014.
"Therefore, I ask the Papuan people to actively participate in monitoring it. So, every budget spent is right on target under the needs of the people there, "he hoped.
President Jokowi during his visit to Papua in addition to inaugurating the Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH), also visited Youtefa Traditional Market to meet local traders. The President then planted corn seeds in Keerom Regency on the same day. ***
