JAYAPURA - Head of the Marine and Fisheries Department (DKP) of Papua Province, Iman Djuniawal ensures that the operation of the Hamadi Fish Landing Base (PPI) will run immediately shortly after the Regional Regulation regarding retribution is completed.
This was conveyed by Iman Djuniawal, when met by reporters in Jayapura on one occasion, Monday (10/4/2023).
Actually, continued Iman, several parts of PPI Hamadi have begun to be operated by officers appointed by DKP Papua. Nevertheless, the operation is still at the trial stage.
"We are still testing while we also pass some of the facilities needed by PPI Hamadi. Among other things, clean water by building water tanks. So this clean water can also be presented to the community around the pier and all existing areas," he explained
Not only that, Iman will conceptualize PPI Hamadi in addition to being a place for marketing fish but also be used as a culinary center.
"But it still takes a lot of things to make it a culinary center. But why not, PPI outside Papua is also used as a culinary center. And I think if PPI is arranged well, it can be done for that," he explained.
While another important thing, he continued, his party encouraged to build a port around PPI Hamadi, to monitor the departure and return of fishermen. Including conducting administrative data collection on existing entrepreneurs.
When it comes to the land dispute itself, Iman believes there will be a resolution. However, all parties, both the relevant government and the community, are expected to immediately sit together to discuss and resolve the matter. ***
