JAYAPURA - The Marine and Fisheries Department of Papua will maximize 16 sources of revenue at the Hamadi Fish Landing Port (PPI), to become Regional Original Income (PAD).
According to the Head of the Papua Marine and Fisheries Department, Iman Djuniawal, there is a potential Regional Original Income of around IDR 1.2 billion at the Hamadi fishing port, Jayapura City. His party is ready to encourage 16 sources of revenue at PPI Hamadi.
"The 16 sources of revenue include income in cold storage, coastal outlets, land and stall rents, and others."
"For example, cold storage has a monthly income of around IDR 52 million and from another source," said Iman, in Jayapura, Wednesday.
Nevertheless, continued Iman, all sources of revenue must be fully controlled by the provincial government (DKP Papua) to achieve the target of PAD.
"That's why we still need to have a good discussion with customary rights owners around PPI Hamadi. Especially in terms of solving land problems."
"When finished, we build clean water directly to the dock. We built the port office to regulate the flow in and out of ships, including wastewater treatment plants (WWTP), then the acceptance was achieved," he explained.
Iman hopes that the function of PPI Hamadi can run as expected. ***
