JAYAPURA - The Daily Executive (Plh) of the Governor of Papua, Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun promised to immediately complete the delinquent fee payment of students from Papua abroad.
According to the plan, the payment of tuition fees worth IDR 122 billion will be paid on Monday next week.
"I have promised that on Monday (17/4/2023) we will pay it. Moreover, it has become an instruction from the Vice Minister of Home Affairs so that this scholarship problem is immediately resolved," Ridwan said in his remarks at the Papua Governor's Regional Working Meeting with the Mayor / Regent, Thursday (13/4/2023) in Biak.
Ridwan admitted that he needed to make these decisions and policies because the Papua Provincial Government had an interest in saving children who were undergoing education.
Moreover, they will become the next generation who will increase the development in the future.
"Among the students who go to school there will be governors, regents, mayors and so on, so I need to take coaching," said Ridwan.

"We must thank God, because he (Acting Governor of Papua, ed) wants to solve it," said Wempi.
The Vice Minister of Home Affairs also requested that Acting Governors throughout Papua continue to encourage the education affirmation program to be maintained consistently in this transition period.
"And we are very grateful that the Acting Governors also expressed their willingness to follow up on our direction to ensure that our children who study at home and abroad can return to lead the land of Papua for the better," he said. ***
