JAYAPURA - The agenda of the 2023 Regional Working Meeting of the Governor and Regent / Mayor entered its second day in Biak Numfor Regency, Friday (14/3/2023).
There were six strategic issues discussed during the meeting. First, the 2024 Local Government Work Plan (RKPD). Second, the preparation and implementation of the 2023 Cenderawasih Bay Sail. Then third, health development challenges in Papua (stunting, HIV / AIDS, and BPJS).
While the fourth, controlling regional inflation. Fifth, control and evaluation of development through monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of Regional Budget programs and activities. And the sixth is the commitment to the results of the 2022 Papua Provincial Meeting
"The results of the discussion will be a future work plan by the Provincial and Regency / City Governments," explained Ridwan when delivering directions to the meeting.
Especially for the 2024 Papua Local Government Work Plan, Ridwan underlined the agenda which was made after the expansion of the new autonomous regions in Papua. Therefore, he continued, the implementation of the meeting which also coincides with the 2023 Regional Development Planning Deliberation of the Governor and Regent / Mayor is important and strategic to discuss problem issues and agree on development priorities in 2024.
"As well as strengthening synergy between provincial, district and city governments based on the authority and Papua Special Autonomy. I hope that the issue of accelerating development can be discussed and synergized, namely improving the quality of human resources focused on improving the quality of education and health, improving the regional economy and communities based on superior commodities in each region," he said.
Regarding the implementation of the 2023 Cenderawasih Bay Sail, which is a national agenda, continued Ridwan, the choice of Papua to be the venue deserves the attention and support of all parties to make it a success. Because it will be a momentum for Papua's economic revival in the fields of tourism, fisheries and fisheries, micro, small and medium enterprises and have an impact on improving community welfare, especially for indigenous Papuan.
Regarding the challenges of health development in Papua, Governor Ridwan noted the handling of stunting, HIV/AIDS and BPJS. He hopes that in the future the stunting and HIV/AIDS rates in Papua will decrease, along with BPJS users increasing, including services in all health facilities to be maximized.
Another important note was conveyed by Governor Ridwan regarding the importance of controlling inflation to maintain the Papuan economy in the global economy. Various efforts have been made by the Papua Provincial Government together with the local Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID).
"As for development control and evaluation, a Rev-1 Program and Activities Control Team (TP2K) has been formed to help control the implementation of Regional Budget programs and activities in a timely, efficient, effective and accountable manner. In addition, TP2K conducts realization monitoring in real-time for policy making for regional leaders, including, one of which is controlling activity programs and priority programs," Ridwan concluded.
