JAYAPURA - The Papua Provincial Government gives full support to the plan to pass the Health Bill (RUU) which is being pushed by the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, this year.
According to the Head of the Papua Provincial Communication and Informatics Department, Jeri Agus Yudianto, the Health Bill is a DPR Initiative Right that needs government and local government support.
Because the bill is believed to be a manifestation of the transformation of productive, independent, and equitable health services. It needs to get support from local governments.
"As representatives of the central government in the regions with the same spirit, we hope that the Health Bill will be able to support the improvement of health services in Papua Province," explained Jeri in Jayapura, Wednesday (26/4/2023).
Jeri said there were several advantages to the passage of the bill. Some of them will be transformed to improve the fulfillment of infrastructure, human resources and health infrastructure facilities in each region.
"Third, transforming health systems and increasing resilience in the face of current and future crises. By increasing national independence in the pharmaceutical sector supported by medical devices and being able to make preparedness efforts in disaster management,"
On the other hand, there is a transformation of the formation of a health financing system which will also increase the productivity of qualified health workers.
"There will be the digitalization of the health system which will certainly increase technological innovation in the health sector itself," he said.
On that occasion, Jeri appealed to all Papuans to support the existence of the Health Bill. The existence is believed to be able to transform health services throughout Papua so that people are much healthier in the future. ***
