Korpri Papua Futsal Coach, Daud Arim admitted that he still did not know the strength of the opponent. Nevertheless, he has instructed all players to remain focused on securing three points in each match.
Adhering to a half-competition system, David asked the athletes to focus on being able to qualify for the top 32. "Looking at the draw results for Papuan opponents in Futsal, we will focus on playing well. We also don't know their players yetbut we will try to win in group A," David said on Friday afternoon.
David said all players are certainly ready, and all strategies and set plays have been arranged in such a way as to turn off the opponent's movements.
Fast-paced, coordinated and tactical play will be a weapon of the Papuan team to attack the opponent's defense. Moreover, Papua is the champion of the Korpri event, while not experiencing much change with the champion squad in the previous Pornas Korpri.
"Our preparation has been very long, and we are ready for the game. The player's material has not changed much from the previous. So we have the ambition to defend the championship," he explained.
