JAYAPURA - Papua Governor Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun ensures that his party is strongly committed to improving the economic level of the community based on local potential.
One of them is through the Coffee Festival in accelerating the recovery of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Papuainitiated by Bank Indonesia in collaboration with the Papua Provincial Government, in commemoration of the Indonesian Independence Day.
"The implementation of Festival Coffee is in accordance with the vision of the Papua Provincial Government is a Rise, Independent and Prosperous with justice (Papua Bangkit, Mandiri, Sejahtera yang berkeadilan). And this is in accordance with our spirit to improve the economic level of the community based on local potential," he said on the sidelines of the opening of the Coffee Festival in Jayapura City, Papua, Friday (4/8/2023().
Ridwan said the Coffee Festival activities are in line with the slogan of celebrating the 78th Indonesian Independence Day with the theme "Continue to Move Forward for Advanced Indonesia".
"The direction of development of Papua cannot be separated from synergy and hard work with all related parties," he said.
In the same place, Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia Destry Damayanti said that the implementation of the 2023 Papua Coffee Festival on the 78th Indonesian Independence Day is proof of the success of synergy and close collaboration between agencies.
"So, we hope that the implementation of the Papua Coffee Festival can be an igniter of enthusiasm to improve the quality of the coffee industry in Papua to the global level," he said.
In the future, he is ready to encourage Bank Indonesia to pioneer the export of coffee commodities through cooperation with coffee industry players.
