JAYAPURA - The Papuan House of Representatives held a Session on the Proposal to Dismiss the Governor and Deputy Governor of Papua, taking place in the meeting room of the Papuan House of Representatives office, Friday (25/08) night.
The session was also attended by the inactive Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe. The implementation of the session regarding the term of office of the Governor of Papua which will expire on September 6, 2023.
The plenary session was officially opened by the 1st Deputy Speaker of thePapuan House of Representatives (DPRP), Yunus Wonda representing the Speaker of the DPRP who was unable to attend. Representatives of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum of Papua, leaders of the National Armed Forces and Police, leaders of Regional Apparatus Organization and State-owned Enterprises, and representatives of stakeholders were present.
Yulce Enembe, Lukas Enembe's wife sits in the ranks of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum of Papua, the councilors and all guests and the inactive Governor, Lukas Enembe attended virtually.
The session began with the delivery of remarks by the Deputy Speaker 1 of the Papuan House of Representatives, Yunus Wonda which was then continued by the screening of a video of the performance of the development results of Lukas Enembe and Klemen Tinal during 2nd term 2013 – 2017 and 2018 – 2023.
There was a sudden silence when Lukas Enembe was given the opportunity to speak. Lukas Enembe haltingly expressed his gratitude to the parties who had given him the opportunity to meet with members of the Papuan House of Representatives, even though online.
"I'm sorry. Please pray from all Papuans, so that I can get through this problem, I am really seriously ill," said Lukas.
"I have never received bribes and gratuities during my tenure as Governor of Papua so far," he said.
