JAYAPURA - The indigenous people of Ondoafi Kampung Kayu Pulohave been carrying out the siege of the Papua Provincial Governor Office, since Sunday (17/9/2023) night.
The crossing has an impact on service activities at the Papua Governor Office which seems paralyzed because none of the civil servants can have an office on Monday (18/9/2023).
Even so, according to the Head of the Papua Communication and Informatics Service, Jeri Yudianto, the State Civil Apparatus of the Papua Provincial Government continues to work online. So that filing and correspondence activities that have now been running online, have no impact.
"Meanwhile, civil servants are forced to work by utilizing the internet network. However, public services that are in direct contact with the community have not been running".
"Indeed, so far there has been no instruction from the leadership regarding the Work From Home policy. But there is an initiative to work anywhere online. The hope is that the mediation process will meet a meeting point so that normal government service activities will return," said Jeri, on Monday morning.
According to him, the mediation process of resolving problems with indigenous peoples is still ongoing. Mitigation measures have also been taken to keep public services running.
"The point is if the one-day public services are not running, the community will lose themselves. We hope people will be patient because the governor will definitely try to consolidate everything," he said. ***
