JAYAPURA - Kick Off the preparation of the preliminary draft of the Regional Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPD) of Papua Province 2025-2045, officially opened by Assistant Secretary of Papua for Government, Yohanes Walilo, in Jayapura City, Friday (15/12/2023).
The preparation of the planning document will focus on realizing fair and equitable regional development for the community's welfare, especially Indigenous Papuans (OAP). "So that one of the efforts by preparing a Regional Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPD) which is a description of the vision, mission and direction of regional development over the next 20 years," explained Walilo.
Assistant Walilo said the document for the Regional Long-Term Development Plan 2005-2025 is approaching the end of the period. Under Law Number 25 of 2004 and Regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Number 86 of 2017, it is necessary to ensure the sustainability of Papua Province's Development for the next 20 years through the preparation of the document of Papua Province Regional Long-Term Development Plan for 2025-2045.
While by the preparation of an evaluation of the results of the implementation of long-term development plans, the Papua Provincial Government has also evaluated the results of the implementation of the 2005-2025 Regional Long-Term Development Plan to follow up on the Circular Letter of the Minister of Home Affairs number 600.2.1 / 1570 / SJ, especially related to the level of achievement of the main targets in each of the 4 stages of the Regional Long-Term Development Plan that have been previously determined."
Of course, the evaluation of the Regional Long-Term Development Plan is a strategic momentum and commitment of the Papua Provincial Government to show evidence of transparency and accountability in implementing long-term development planning.
The results of this evaluation provide a comprehensive and holistic analysis of the achievements of the implementation of Papua Province Regional Long-Term Development Plan in 2005-2025," he explained.
It is known that the socialization or orientation of the preparation aims to ensure common perceptions between the provincial government, the Papuan House of Representatives and the MRP regarding the process of preparing the 2025–2045 Regional Long-Term Development Plan. In addition, it is the basis for the preparation of the Regional Long-Term Development Plan technocratically and in facing the simultaneous regional elections in 2024 to be in line with the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045. ***
