JAYAPURA - Acting Governor of Papua Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun appealed to all agencies/institutions and companies in Papua, to build a good Occupational Safety and Health (K3) culture, to reduce the number of work accidents and diseases in their respective places.
This was conveyed by Governor Ridwan in a briefing of the 2024 National K3 Month, at the Papua Governor's Office, Tuesday (27/2/2024).
The event was led by the Acting Governor of Papua, Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun, who attended
hundreds of participants from agencies/institutions and companies in Jayapura City.
Ridwan said, the development of a superior labor ecosystem not only carries the preparation of good regulations in the field of employment. But no less important is to increase the understanding and awareness of all parties in implementing labor norms.
The success of the K3 program will also reduce losses, and improve the quality of life and human development index. In addition, it supports national development, increases national competitiveness and in the global era.
"For this reason, I invite all stakeholders to interpret the theme of this national K3 Month by increasing the commitment of all parties. Especially in accelerating K3 culture," he said.
The head of Manpower, Cooperatives and SMEs of Papua, Aryoko Rumaropen asked that every work environment must comply with the K3 protocol.
"So it is hoped that all companies and institutions can implement regulations related to the implementation of K3 in their respective work environments," he said.
Aryoko added that the Governor of Papua also gave awards to institutions and companies that meet the K3 implementation guidelines. Where 21 companies received awards with certain categories.
"We also hold MSME exhibitions, job fairs, and cheap markets for the community for a day," he said. ***
