JAYAPURA - The series of Development Planning Deliberation of the Regional Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPD) 2025-2045, Regional Apparatus Work Plan (RKPD) and Special Autonomy 2025, is officially closed.
The provincial-level agenda, which is coupled with the commemoration of Regional Autonomy Day XXVIII 2024, was closed by the Regional Secretary of Papua Derek Hegemur, at the Horizon Ultima Hotel, Entrop, Jayapura City, Friday (26/4/2023).
In his direction, Secretary Hegemur advised that the three planning documents prepared for the three days be maximally harmonized to grow the regional economy at the local level. On the other hand, its execution and implementation must have the greatest impact and benefit to the community.
"This means that the activities will later be built according to what the community wants. So that the people will also feel the maximum benefit from the plans that we make and arrange for 3 days," explained Derek.
Not only that, the Regional Secretary also hopes that economic growth through planning can touch and empower local communities in all aspects and fields. So that there is an economic increase felt by all indigenous Papuans.
Meanwhile, regarding Regional Autonomy Day, Derek asked all local governments in Papua to carry out development that has a positive impact on the community.
"Including improving people's living standards and welfare that focuses on green-green development."
"This means that the development carried out must be sustainable. So we will leave to our children and grandchildren the benefits of green development to maintain the stability of the environment. It also has an impact and benefits for the community in the future," he said.
Previously at the opening of the Development Planning Deliberation of RPJPD, RKPD and Special Autonomy, the Acting Governor of Papua Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun advised that the three major agendas discussed must prioritize five things.
Includes improving the quality of human resources, inclusive economic growth, accelerating development, and improving security and governance. ***
