JAYAPURA - The Papua Provincial Government appreciates the Indonesian Audit Board for guidance and supervision, to create clean and good governance in Papua.
Acting Governor of Papua, Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun said that the supervision guidance carried out by the Indonesian Audit Board, Papua Provincial Representatives since 2022 and 2023, includes the examination of poverty alleviation performance, employment performance audit, overall asset governance audit, and asset governance performance audit that will be submitted to the New Autonomous Region.
The supervision guidance is considered to be very helpful for the Papua Provincial Government in making strategic improvements. "More specifically in the financial management of the Papua Provincial Government in 2023," explained Ridwan at the Plenary Meeting of the submission of the Audit Report (LHP) of the Indonesian Audit Board (BPK) on the report on the regional financial management of Papua Province for the 2023 fiscal year, Monday (10/6/2024).
According to him, the results of Papua Province's financial governance performance in 2023 have been assessed by the Audit Team based on two audits. Namely, the preliminary examination from February 20, 2024 to April 25, 2024. Meanwhile, the detailed examination will run from April 23, 2024 to May 17, 2024.
The results provide a trust guarantee for all stakeholders on the 2023 Papua Provincial Government Financial Report.
"For this reason, I appreciate all regional apparatus and ranks for their hard work and good cooperation, in the implementation of development programs and the presentation of financial statements of the Papua Provincial Government."
"I also appreciate the hard work of all parties involved in implementing good financial governance in their respective agencies, so that the 2023 Papua Province LKPD can be prepared under applicable regulations," he said.
He added that the results of the Papua Provincial Government's work in 2023 can be reflected in the 2023 Papua Provincial Regional Government Financial Statements (LKPD).
It is not just a number but also reflects the performance of the Government in serving the community and developing the region, especially the Land of Papua.
"Even though the Papua Provincial Budget is getting smaller which is only IDR3 trillion, it does not reduce our enthusiasm to work and innovate to build this Papua that we love," he said. ***
