JAYAPURA - Acting Governor of Papua Ramses Limbong promised a process of law against civil servants involved in online gambling.
"I have always conveyed to civil servants that if anyone plays online gambling, strict sanctions are given, namely the legal process."
"I ask the head of Regional Apparatus Organizations to supervise as well as socialize the bad impact of online gambling for his staff," said Ramses in Jayapura, Wednesday.
He also appealed to the public to report to his party if there are civil servants who play online gambling. The report must be accompanied by accurate evidence so that it does not become a slander.
His party has also ordered the Papua Communication and Informatics Service to track State Civil Apparatus who play online gambling as an effort by the government to eradicate online gambling among civil servants.
"I have ordered the Papua Communication and Information Service to conduct tracing."
"I am also making a circular letter for Civil Servants related to online gambling. Indeed, so far there have been no reports of civil servants playing online gambling, That's why I asked for tracing because this online gambling is very detrimental to the country and people's lives," he said. ***
