JAYAPURA – In 2024, the Papua Forestry and Environment Service (DKLH) will deposit Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) into the state treasury amounting to IDR 50 billion.
The funds are sourced from Forest Utilization Permit Holders (PIPH) operating in the Papua Province area.
Acting Head of the Papua DKLH, Aristoteles Ap explained that the money deposited into the state treasury came from the forestry sector which came from the Forest Resources Provision (PSDH), Forest Utilization Business Licensing Fees (IPBPH) and Reforestation Funds (DR).
It consists of IPBPH of IDR 19.2 billion, while DR of IDR 26.5 billion. So, around IDR 50 billion of PNBP is paid into the state treasury.
"The deposit comes from 8 Forest Utilization Business Permits (PBPH). The eight PBPHs are located in Sarmi, Jayapura Regency and Keerom Regency," he explained.
He explained that PNBP deposits have decreased because most of the PBPH holders are in South Papua and Central Papua.
"Before the new autonomous region, PNBP paid into the state treasury could reach hundreds of billions. But now it is decreasing with PBPH which is not in Papua Province," he concluded. ***
