JAYAPURA – The central government has disbursed the first term of Special Autonomy funds for Papua Province, amounting to IDR 269.7 billion, which has already been deposited into the Regional General Treasury Account (RKUD).
“The first term has been disbursed, now we just need to accelerate the implementation of the accountability report,” said Acting Head of the Papua Provincial Development Planning, Research, and Innovation Agency, Jimmy Alberto Thesia.
The Papua Provincial Government will next pursue the disbursement of the second term of the Special Autonomy funds.
The requirements for the disbursement of the second term of Special Autonomy funds include 50% budget realization and 15% physical progress realization.
“The target is to submit the request for the second term by the second week of July,” he revealed.
Meanwhile, the Acting Governor of Papua, Ramses Limbong, expressed hope that the Special Autonomy funds will be used properly and under their intended purpose for the benefit of Indigenous Papuans. ***
