JAYAPURA – Acting Governor of Papua, Agus Fatoni, officially inaugurated and confirmed 92 administrative and supervisory officials within the Papua Provincial Government. The ceremony was held at Lukmen Hall, State Building, Jayapura, on Thursday (August 7, 2025).
This inauguration follows Papua Provincial Regulation No. 18 of 2023 concerning the Formation and Structure of Regional Apparatuses. With the implementation of this regulation, definitive officials in primary high-ranking, administrative, and supervisory positions have automatically transitioned into implementing roles.
“I, Acting Governor of Papua Agus Fatoni, hereby officially inaugurate those listed in the Decision of the Acting Governor of Papua Number SK.800.1.3.3-8223 dated August 7, 2025, as administrative and supervisory officials within the Papua Provincial Government,” Fatoni declared during the ceremony. “I trust you will carry out your duties with full dedication and integrity.”
Fatoni emphasized that this step was aimed at enhancing organizational performance, filling vacant roles, and formalizing the status of officials affected by structural adjustments.
He urged the newly inaugurated officials to adapt quickly, understand their duties and responsibilities, master regulations, and uphold professionalism. “Innovation, breakthrough thinking, and new work methods are essential to optimize our performance,” he said.
The Acting Governor also reminded all officials of the importance of accountability and integrity. “Government activities are subject to various audits and inspections—internal, external, and legal. Therefore, it is vital that we remind each other and share information to stay on the right path,” he added.
The appointments have received technical approval from the National Civil Service Agency and endorsement from the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. ***
