JAYAPURA – The Papua Provincial Government reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring security and peace following the implementation of the Repeat Election for the Papua Governor Election.
Acting Governor of Papua, Agus Fatoni, emphasized that maintaining regional stability is a shared responsibility of the government, security apparatus, and the public.
He further noted that the Constitutional Court remains the legitimate legal avenue for any parties wishing to file objections, and underlined that the Court’s rulings are final and binding.
“The government continues to coordinate with security forces and relevant stakeholders to anticipate and prevent any potential disturbances after the repeat election,” Fatoni stated.
According to him, all parties in Papua are urged to avoid provocative actions and to uphold unity.
“Let us join hands in maintaining an atmosphere of safety, peace, tolerance, and harmony in our beloved Papua,” Fatoni concluded. ***
