JAYAPURA – The Papua Provincial Family Welfare Empowerment Mobilization Team (TP PKK) held an Ecumenical Worship Service together with the Children and Youth Fellowship of the Church at Lukmen Hall, State Building, Jayapura, on Saturday (September 27, 2025).
The service was attended by the Acting Governor of Papua, Agus Fatoni, and the Acting Chairperson of TP PKK Papua, Tyas A. Fatoni. On this occasion, Fatoni expressed his appreciation to the Family Welfare Empowerment Mobilization Team of Papua for consistently organizing worship and prayer services.
According to him, the activity not only strengthened togetherness but also reflected a commitment of faith in building a religious, resilient, and strong-charactered generation in Papua.
“We appreciate the Papua PKK for regularly holding worship and prayer services. This reflects our commitment to Almighty God, while also strengthening unity and solidarity,” said Fatoni.
He emphasized the importance of prayer in daily life, particularly for children and youth, stating that prayer serves as a source of strength and motivation in pursuing success.
“Those who pray diligently have the spirit to succeed. Prayer is important because God holds everything. Through prayer, we gain the encouragement to work, study, and strive,” he said.
Fatoni also advised Papua’s children and youth to use their time wisely, avoid negative habits, and cultivate positive practices that lead to progress.
“Successful people are those who can manage their time, set priorities, and surround themselves with positive environments. Avoid spending too much time gaming or loitering aimlessly. It is better to use your time to study, read, interact, and improve your skills,” he added.
He further highlighted the importance of solidarity, loyalty, and safeguarding Papua’s reputation in public spaces, including on social media.
“Let us use social media wisely. Do not spread negativity, hate speech, or sow discord. We must safeguard the good name of Papua, our families, schools, and religions,” he stressed.
In front of the children and church youth, Fatoni encouraged them to grow into intelligent, creative, and innovative individuals. He underlined that the key to success lies in hard work, a passion for learning, reading, and overcoming bad habits such as laziness and lack of discipline.
“Successful children are those who work harder, study diligently, and keep striving to improve themselves. Intelligent people are those who are knowledgeable. Therefore, let us read diligently, keep innovating, and be a generation that Papua can be proud of,” he concluded.
The worship service was held in a solemn atmosphere, attended by Family Welfare Empowerment Mobilization Team members, children, church youth, and members of the community. ***
