August 1, 2025 — The Papua Provincial Government, through the Office of Communication and Information Technology, continues its commitment to bridging the digital divide in remote regions by distributing 44 Starlink VSat units to the Waropen Regency Government. The handover was carried out directly by the Acting Governor of Papua, Agus Fatoni, during his working visit to the region.
The Acting Governor of Papua, Agus Fatoni, commended the peaceful and harmonious environment in Yapen Islands Regency during his official visit to the Regent’s Office in Serui. His visit comes ahead of the Repeat Voting for the Governor and Deputy Governor of Papua, scheduled to take place on August 6, 2025.

The Acting Governor of Papua, Agus Fatoni, inspected the kitchen of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit in Serui City, Yapen Islands Regency. The visit aimed to monitor and ensure the quality of the Free Nutritious Meals distributed to 3,955 school children in the region.
In a strategic effort to accelerate equitable internet access across Papua, the Papua Provincial Government, through the Communication and Informatics Office, has officially handed over 34 units of Starlink VSat and 14 IndiBiz devices to Yapen Islands Regency.

The Papua Provincial Government held a 2025 Civil Servant Promotion Working Meeting as part of efforts to strengthen a professional, accountable, and responsive civil service management system. Representing Acting Governor Agus Fatoni, Matias B. Mano, the Governor’s Expert Staff for Human Resources, officially opened the meeting and delivered key strategic directives. (July 29)
A total of 32 students from seven regencies and cities in Papua have been selected as members of the provincial-level Heritage Flag Hoisting Troop (Paskibraka). They will undergo intensive training ahead of the 80th Anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence Day. These participants were chosen through a rigorous selection process held recently. They are considered the best representatives of their respective regions.
Acting Governor of Papua, Agus Fatoni, carried out working visits to various regions, including Keerom Regency and Jayapura Regency. During the visits, he called on the public to continue preserving Papua’s positive image and reputation.
After visiting the Sekolah Rakyat, Acting Governor of Papua Agus Fatoni continued his agenda by visiting the Mararena Central Market. On this occasion, Fatoni officially launched the distribution of government rice reserves for the June–July 2025 food assistance program in Sarmi Regency.
